Visual Note-taking ~ beyond the boundary, uob

Visual note-taking is the practice of capturing conversations, conferences, talks and presentations in a visual way. I can attend virtually or in-person, and will listen to the content of a discussion, lecture, workshop, panel, or meeting ~ and then illustrate it live! Alternatively, you can send me the written notes taken during a conference, meeting or workshop, and I can create an illustrated outcome detailing all of the important parts in an eye-catching, colourful way.

I was commissioned by Dr Katie Garstang, within the School of Sport, Exercise & Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of Birmingham. It was a lovely job centred around an illustrated toolkit for coaches ~ filled with advice, tips and research on how to best coach ethnically diverse women within Birmingham. The toolkit was then launched at an inspiring showcase event at Edgbaston Stadium, which I live-illustrated.

It was a-lot of fun compiling the presentations and discussions from the event, plus the main findings of the research itself, into two colourful pieces.

Alongside the full images, I put together a bit of a ‘pack’ ~ with individual assets of illustrated characters, buildings and icons. 📚
